Storm damage

What to do before anyone sells you a roof.

Hail and straight-line wind move through Pulaski County most years. This page is a calm order of operations. It is demo copy, not legal advice and not an insurance promise.

Whole tan brick ranch with hail-torn shingles and loose pieces in the grass along a wet two-lane road
  1. Step 1

    Stay off the roof

Wet shingles and a ladder are a bad mix. Photos from the yard are enough until we get there.

  2. Step 2

Call your insurer if you want a claim

Open the claim yourself and write down the claim number. We do not file it for you and we do not speak as your public adjuster.

  3. Step 3

    We climb and photograph

Every slope, the ridges, the flashing, and the soft metal. You get a plain photo report you can share.

  4. Step 4

    The adjuster is theirs

We can be on site when they come. The settlement is between you and the company. We do not offer to pay, waive, or rebate a deductible.

  5. Step 5

You hire us only if you want to

If you do, we pull the permit, replace what the scope calls for, and rake the yard. No pressure either way.

A straight note on deductibles

Kentucky law restricts a contractor from offering to pay or rebate your deductible, or from representing your claim, as an inducement to hire them. We will not do that. If someone in a truck from three states away offers to "cover the deductible," that is a reason to slow down.

Demo language. Confirm anything legal with your insurer or a lawyer.
